Zaatar / Spicy Zaatar

Zaatar, a well-kept secret of Middle Eastern cuisine, is a blend of herbs and spices with many variations. Composed of thyme, oregano, sumac, cumin, lemon, pepper, and toasted sesame seeds, it is distinguished by its herbaceous and slightly tangy flavor. Traditionally mixed with olive oil to spread pita bread, we have created a spicy version with our “Malnacio” habanero pepper-infused oil, offering a unique intensity. DO Zaatar is our tribute to this oriental gastronomy, combined with DO Arbequina for a fresh, aromatic, and nuanced oil, perfect on toasted bread, salads, vegetables, meat, or fish.
